Jacob Ciocci, founding member of East Coast art collective Paper Rad, heads West and shows his latest art damaged offerings at Familyon Fairfax with a bonus musical performance by David Wightman as the Fortress of Amplitude. An audio visual performance sure to leave you saying, “what the f?!” but in a totally good way of course. More from the Family members:
“Jacob Ciocci will present a new 20-minute mix of original videos and animations, and perform ‘I Let My Nightmares Go’ featuring video and dance moves that grapple with mental demons, web 2.0, G.O.D., 21st-century breakdown, real lies and fake truths, cartoon violence, and awareness bracelets.”
Apparently the sweet Laker loving ila is not just a fantastic post producer who I recently worked with on Motion Theory’sGreen Day Comcast commercial but she’s also a fantastic singer/song writer who performs with her imaginary friends, including a one very badass Andy Soria of Imaginary Forces. Thanks to Yosi Sergant, our Manifest Hope mastermind and now clean shaven chief spokesman for the National Endowment for the Arts, for passing it along.

Other items you will find on your hunt: VINTAGE bags, shoes and clothing. ANTIQUES, HANDCRAFTED CLOTHING, RECORDS, BOOKS, HANDMADE TERRARIUMS, ORGANIC APOTHECARY PRODUCTS, ORIGINAL ART and so much more!”
Yes, both of these stellar stop motion pieces are years old. And yes, you most likely have seen both of them. But damn it, they look delicious and I’m hungry.
“The concept of Game Over was to take something electronic and remake it by hand, and essentially do it in this style that I’ve been developing where familiar objects that look like other things are swapped in.”
