N.A.S.A. Asks “Whachadoin?”
In keeping up with the (Spike) Jonzes following yesterday’s Wild Things post, here today is Spike’s younger brotherĀ Squeak E. Clean repping the N.A.S.A. crew with their latest music video-“Whachadoin?” featuring Spank Rock, M.I.A., Santigold, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Nick Zinner. Following Sam and Syd Garon’s vision of a series of collaborative music videos making up the visual side of their debut album The Spirit of Apollo and inspired by a multitude of talented artists (Shepard Fairey, Marcel Dzama, Sage Vaughn, The Date Farmers with Logan), “Whachadoin?” stays true to form and is wildly animated and directed by Argetinian’s Jorge Jaramillo and Jimena Oddi.
Check out the trailer I cut for the N.A.S.A. homies below and see how the current version of “Whachadoin?” progressed from it’s early stages around the 2:30 mark:
