WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: Star Wars in Concert

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Fellow dorks, geeks, nerds, rejoice! Star Wars in Concert has made the jump from light-speed and has docked at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. And when a concert features a full symphony orchestra and choir performing to scenes from the entire Star Wars saga accompanied by narration from C-3PO himself, you definitely know these are the droids you’re looking for. And as if you needed more incentive to go, the theater’s website advises that “weapon replicas will not be permitted” (“No blasters! No blasters!”) but guests are allowed “to attend in costume and bring in light sabers” (“an elegant weapon for a more civilized day.”)

Star Wars in Concert
Wednesday & Thursday, October 7th & 8th, 8:00pm
Door Time: 7:00pm
Nokia Theater
777 Chick Hearn Court, Los Angeles, CA 90015

More from the Rebel Alliance:

“Narrated live by Anthony Daniels (the actor who portrayed C-3PO in all six films), the production features a full symphony orchestra and choir, accompanied by specially edited footage from the films displayed on a three-story-tall, high-definition LED super-screen - one of the largest ever put on tour.

The live music and film elements are synchronized in order to create a full multi-media, one-of-a-kind Star Wars experience. Plus an exclusive exhibit of Star Wars costumes, props and production artwork will be on display.”
