R.I.P. Gumby, Pokey, Davey and Goliath

Last Friday Gumby creator and claymation pioneer Art Clokey passed away in his sleep. As a kid with a growing imagination, Clokey’s creations including Gumby, Pokey, and Davey and Goliath, would stimulate my childhood afternoons with his endearing clay characters and the moral lessons they learned. R.I.P. Art Clokey.

MacGruber for Your Monday

Saturday Night Live’s satirical son of MacGyver made his triumphant return to comedy this past weekend as MacGruber teamed up with my favorite outspoken retired athlete, Sir Charles Barkley, for some awesomely explosive racism.

Also…The MacGruber movie directed by Jorma “Jizz in My Pants” Taccone is currently filming and stars Will Forte, Kristen Wiig and Val Kilmer as a character named “Cunth”. In theaters April 23, 2010. More photos and info at /Film.
