From Hester Street Fair:
“Following Hester Street Fair’s sunny debut with the Bite Size Food and Craft Festival, New York’s #1 Thing To Do continues its West Coast adventures with the Hollywood Indie Night Market on July 7, 2012. As summer heats up, Hester Street Fair brings you a shopping experience that is cool in more than one way. ForHollywood Indie Night Market, the Hester team curated the best of the west with a carefully-edited show of more than 100 apparel, accessory, and lifestyle merchants – all who will be showcased in an exciting nighttime shopping environment with food, music and a craft cocktail and biergarten.
Hollywood Indie Night Market highlights West Coast designers and merchants – many favorites as well as new ones to discover. Mitra Khayyam’s iconic Blood Is The New Black presents a cotton gallery of the most sought-after artist collaborations on the highest quality t-shirt knits. A stable of hand-picked goods, Glendale’s Horse and Anchor reconstructs military goods with a modern edge, and park your handbag at Hester Street Fair’s new fashion truck cul-de-sac, starring a duo of mobile boutiques including Le Fashion Truck. Sample the colorful spread at Preservation Society. Their custom preserves are created from local organic ingredients with mouthwatering seasonal flavors to match, such as Strawberry Jam with Lemon Thyme and Blueberry-Pink Grapefruit with Tahitian Vanilla. Finally, design meets delicious at Modern Bite. Offering the best of both worlds, the Los Angeles-based bakery combines exquisite desserts with vibrant modern decoration that is as tasteful as the creations inside.
Appetites will be equally delighted at Hollywood Indie Night Market. Los Angeles’ favorite food trucks CoolHaus, Dosa Truck, Mandoline Grill, Cousins Maine Lobsterand many more return to Hester Street Fair and will be joined by new faces and forks. The first stop is Bool BBQ. A marriage of Asian flavors and South American staples, Bool BBQ’s Short Rib Burrito has it all: a fluffy flour tortilla filled with rice, kimchi and Korean BBQ short ribs. Mama Musubi transforms traditional Japanese musubi into gourmet rice balls, infused with modern fillings such as wild salmon and mango. Simply delicious, Gravy Train Poutinerie serves a trifecta of taste: fries, cheese and gravy, which can be perfectly paired with a beer from the craft biergarten. Eat, relax, and enjoy under the stars at the Hollywood Indie Night Market.
Continuing its program of fun-filled events in Hollywood this summer, Hester Street Fair presents a dynamic block of programming, featuring favorite artisans, indie designers, collectors, food, brands, bloggers, music and more. All music events are curated by downtown New York’s Santos Party House.”
