A Wild Things Wednesday

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Some new Where the Wild Things Are imagery, music, and an interview with director Spike Jonze for your not so wild Wednesday.

  • First off, feast your eyes on the film’s latest theatrical poster.

  • The New York Times magazine recently ran a comprehensive article on Spike and his journey in bringing the Wild Things to the big screen from his early music video work to when John Malkovich thought he was a Czech due to Jonze’s use of “English as a second language” and “funny way of expressing himself” while meeting for the first time before filming Being John Malkovich. Click here or the image below to read the full article.

  • Karen O has unleashed the first single off the Wild Things soundtrack with the childrens’ anthem, “All is Love”. Available as a digital download on iTunes with the full album coming out September 29th.

  • And finally, the September 11th issue of Filter magazine not only features “interviews with Jonze and soundtrack composer Karen O; star Max Records and Catherine Keener; screenwriter Dave Eggers; actress Catherine O’Hara; documentarian Lance Bangs; never-before-seen photos and art from the film’s set and crew” but also an exclusive Wild Things cover drawn by the master Geoff Mcfetridge.
