Take one part beloved comic strip in Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson; replace with equal parts evil comic book villains-one part Lex Luthor and The Joker; add in the witty writing of Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets) along with the awesome art of Lee Bermejo (Batman); insert into the pages DC Comics Superman/Batman #75 and voila, you’ve got yourself an amazing tribute to a comic classic in Joker and Lex.

In honor of this weekend’s geek gathering at San Diego’s Comic Con, here’s a chance for you to unleash your inner nerd and decide the fate of two action figures in the interactive Iron Man vs. Batman: Interactive Stop Motion Youtube game cleverly created by Kyle Roberts of Reckless Abandonment Pictures.

From Kyle:

“Ever wonder who would win in a fight between Iron Man and Batman? Well you get to choose in this interactive clash of the billionaires!

There took over 1,000 individual pictures and 3 months of work to complete this project. I will be posting a making of video shortly. Coming soon these figures and this animation will be on display at the Toy and Action Figure Museum.”

Superstar comic book writer Grant Morrison (Batman, Justice League of America, The Invisibles, New X-Men, etc.) makes his way to Meltdown comics on Sunset (Los Angeles’ 2nd best comic book shop) to sign copies of his latest smash hit, Batman and Robin. Also marking Mr. Morrison’s big return to LA will be a pre-book signing conversation with horror icon Clive Barker and music provided by IHEARTCOMIX mastermind Frankie Chan.  Between tonight’s appearance of Morrison at Meltdown and Paper Rad’s performance art at Family, many a comic book nerd will surely be sleeping well.
