Sports posters have been a part of kids’ rooms for as long as kids rooms have been around. And as those kids grow up it seems as though art, in some form or another, starts to take hold of their imaginations and replaces some of that old sports imagery. But often times the two worlds come together and form a perfect “adult kids room” of sorts as evidenced in the Gallery 1988 Los Angeles and OMG Posters team up, The Greatest Moments in Sports History (A Poster Show).
Check out some of the work on Gallery 1988’s blog here.

It’s no secret that times are tough these days for a lot of good, talented people. But it wasn’t too long ago when the future looked bright, the economy was booming, and a “show about nothing” meant something to everyone. In each episode of Seinfeld the foursome of Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer found ways to make the mundane insane while making us laugh our asses off. Here’s a painting of 99 of those instances, as well as a handy reference key, created by Kiersten Essenpreis for Gallery 1988’s upcoming Idiot Box show. “Serenity now!” indeed.
P.S. There are a few extra items hidden in the piece for BIGTIME fans.
