Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Micmacs
Tuesday, April 6th, 2010Is it possible that the French have cornered the market on visually arresting contemporary films? The more I think of the filmographies of directors such as Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, amazing music videos) and even Louis Leterrier to an extent (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans), the more I think that bold statement may be true. Especially when you take into account the French director who caught my eye in the first place, Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
If you enjoyed Jeunet’s previous cinematic classics Amélie, The City of Lost Children or Delicatessen, then there’s no reason why you won’t be looking forward to his latest genius offering, Micmacs (in theaters May 28th). And now without any further adieu…
