Happy (Early) Turkey and Non-Turkey Day!

With lot’s of people leaving town today, I wanted to wish everyone a happy early Thanksgiving before eating like Pilgrims and Indians tomorrow. But this themed post is especially dedicated to my vegan brother Justin out in New York, who loves both the fleshy blood and gore of Eli Roth movies as well as the fleshless non-meat of Tofurkys. Be Thankful for Your Job/’93 Ford Taurus

Those fortunate to have jobs this Thanksgiving have much to be thankful for, maybe even more than we realize. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released this visualization of unemployment rates by county “from January 2007-approximately one year before the start of the recession-to the most recent unemployment data available today” and needless to say it’s not a pretty picture. Or in this case not a pretty chart-graph-thing.
